We preach Christ crucified

The message of the Cross is foolishness to those who will not claim its hope, but for those being saved, it is God’s power.

Some want miracles for proof, and others look for wisdom. As for us, we proclaim Christ crucified, a message that is offensive to miracle seekers and nonsense to those who seek logic; but for those whom God has called, this message is everything. For what seems to be God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and what seems to be God's weakness is stronger than human strength. [From the Bible - 1 Corinthians 1]

We preach Christ crucified;
Logic that makes no sense;
The victory of being defeated;
Humiliation to be proud of.

We preach Christ crucified.
Healed by agony;
Restored through brokenness;
Life through death.

We preach Christ crucified.
The hero is destroyed,
And therefore wins the day.
It all comes good,
When evil seems to have its way.

We preach Christ crucified,
In all its beautiful ugliness.
